Title:
Parliamentary hearings from police trade unions in Northrhine-Westphalia – 1985 to 2017

Abstract:
Whoever is heard as an expert to police policy subjects by committees of the parliament, can assume that he has proper level of reputation on this filed of policy. This article will answer some questions by empirical data. How do hearings of police unions proceed over time? Which parliament committees use hearings of police unions? Which subjects and parliament papers are part of the hearings? Who initiates hearings and which police unions will be heard? This quantitative analysis shows clearly empirical differences of the integration of police unions and their reputation. The impact on political decissions is not part of this investigation.
