Title:
What makes students satisfied?

Abstract:
Universities are using graduate surveys to find out how former students with professional experience retroactively rate their course programmes. The determined level of satisfaction with the completed programme can reflect quality aspects of the course programme on the one hand. On the other hand, other aspects may play into the evaluation that are not attributable to the quality of the courses, but nevertheless distort the assessment. One graduate survey therefore queried other factors in addition to aspects of the course programmes that may be connected to student satisfaction. It became apparent that satisfaction with a course programme is indeed strongly connected with quality aspects, but that there are actually other factors affecting the assessment that are not or not directly associated with the quality aspect.
