Title:
Resilience in the Police

Abstract:
As part of a project on psychological resistance in the Police, 272 police officers were investigated psychometrically. The aim of this study was to gain information about the structure of the construct resilience based on information about coping and personality. An overview of theoretical basics incl. relevant research paradigms on resilience, personality and stress was given. Trying to describe the construct of resilience could be detected as predictors, conscientiousness and neuroticism as personality traits and problem-focused and flexible-accommodative coping.
