Title:
A quarter century Crisis Intervention Team in the Police of Rhineland-Palatinate (KIT-Pol)
Abstract:
This article is inteded to provide an overview of the development of psychological crisis intervention in the Rhineland-Palatinate police force from its beginnings in the 1990s to the present day. These developments sometimes led through ardous paths to the KIT-Pol, which is largely established today. The milestones of these paths with their solutions are shown very briefly. Today, the KIT-Pol is an organizational unit that not only needs to be alerted after a crisis situation, but is also involved in the planning of a BAO or in time slots, depending on the situation. In addition to the current status, the possible improvements or further developments are shown: these are on the one hand a KIT-internal nature (adherence to the phase mode, implemenation of evaluations, quality assurance through advance training) and on the other hand the interfaces of the KIT-Pol with other units (knowledge to KIT).
